I've always been curious about Jason and the Argonauts. I watched the cheesy movies as a kid and was mesmerized by all the scary monsters. When the opportunity to read and review this book popped up, I jumped at the chance. The book is beautifully done and is full of fascinating illustrations, photos, and maps. This book is chock full of information about Jason and the Argonauts and it was a pleasure to read and linger over the pictures. The book follows the journey of Jason and the Argonauts from Iolcus to his return. (A pretty amazing voyage for that time if you look at the maps). This book would appeal to readers from middle school and up and would be a good starting point for those interested in the stories behind Jason and the Argonauts.
