Brightest Kind of Darkness, YA Paranormal Romance (Book #1)

Brightest Kind of Darkness, YA Paranormal Romance (Book #1) - P.T. Michelle, Patrice Michelle What if you could dream what you will experience the next day? Would you go out of your way to avoid stubbing your toe? Would you change events to save lives? Would you, could you, interfere? What are the repercussions if you do? This is the dilemma facing Nara daily, until she meets the mysterious Ethan. With a touch, Nara’s dreams transfer to Ethan. Now Ethan sees what Nara will experience. It is very disconcerting for Nara not to be able to dream and the only way she can get her dreams back is not to touch Ethan. This is an interesting concept for a young adult book. What happens when you cheat fate? Nara quickly learns that there are consequences to her actions. Fate is not happy to be cheated. Fate carries a grudge and has it out for her.The story was nicely done, though I would have preferred less of the high school cattiness. I found Ethan to be quite the enigma, so mysterious, but thankfully not a vampire. Nara was a little OCD, a little self-absorbed, and at times she did not think about her personal safety. I liked her flaky, hippie Aunt Sage. If you like a darker young adult read, The Brightest Kind of Darkness might be for you. Review posted on Badass Book Reviews.
