I was looking forward to reading this book as I had enjoyed the previous installments. Hourglass finds Bianca and Lucas hiding out with the Black Cross vampire hunters. They want to leave the group and strike out on their own, but they face a few challenges. I have mixed feelings about this book. I liked it, but it wasn't spectacular for me. I liked Bianca and Lucas' love story. I liked the secondary characters, especially Balthazar.As I was reading this book, I had flashbacks to other books in this genre, notably Vampire Academy, however, I didn't find Bianca as annoying as Rose. Hourglass was a very quick read for me. I would recommend it to young adults who enjoy vampire love stories.
