I finally got a hold of a copy of this book (it was always on loan at the library) and I was not disappointed.Shadow Kiss is the third book in the Vampire Academy series. I would recommend that the books be read in order but each book can stand on its own. Rose Hathaway is at St. Vladimir's school continuing her training as a guardian with Dimitri, her mentor. Rose begins to see ghosts, particularly Mason, her old boyfriend. She realizes that Mason has a message for her that affects all of St. Vladimir.I really like this series. Rose is a strong yet vulnerable character. She is hot-headed, loyal, and just the person you want on your side. Her character continues to develop and mature in this book culminating in a difficult decision at the end of the book.Great read. I could not put it down. I would say that I can't wait for book 4 Blood Promise, but I read it already, so....am waiting for book 5.
